Macce is probably the most successful show dog in Finland to date and a considerably successful sire world wide. When I first saw him he was a young dog who only had the one title and 4 litters in Finland. I was delighted that Jukka offered to loan him to me and arrangements were made to collect him from Denmark where he was on a short holiday at Lapinlumon.
It was not easy to arrange his transport to UK because of the festive holidays – and so I decided to fetch him from the Danish/German border on New Year’s eve 2008, just in time for him to mate Kyky.
It was intended he stay a little longer and I had plans for other litters by him, but sadly a complication with his pet passport meant he was returned to Jukka with only the one bitch mated here in UK, but boy what a significant litter that has turned out to be.
He later joined Taina at Peikkovuoren, where he was shown extensively and came to the attention of breeders around the world. Macce reached the very good age of 16 before passing to the rainbow bridge in May 2020
